StorageFit Research Team

Role: Capacity modelling and data research

The in-house team that maintains the item-dimension dataset, the capacity model and the cost reference ranges used across this site.

The team's work is the model itself rather than opinion writing: maintaining packed-volume values for 95 household items, keeping unit specifications current across 8 standard sizes, compiling cost reference ranges twice a year, and testing the calculators against worked inventories before each release.

How we verify

Figures are computed from the dataset at build time rather than typed into pages, which removes an entire class of error: a page cannot state a number the model does not produce. Calculator logic is tested against reference inventories, and any change to an assumption bumps the model version and is recorded on the methodology page.

Editorial independence

The team is not paid by storage operators, and the site carries no advertising or affiliate links, so there is no commercial party with an interest in what a recommendation says. See the how our content is produced.
